The protection of your data is important to us. We process personal data exclusively under Swiss data protection law (revFADP) and – where applicable – in accordance with comparable international standards.

  • Master data (name, address, contact details)
  • Order & contract data (products ordered, shipping & billing address)
  • Payment data (e.g., masked card details, transaction IDs; processed via payment service providers)
  • Communication data (emails, support requests)
  • Technical usage data (server logs, IP address, timestamps) – only insofar as required for operation/security

  • Customer communication & support
  • Operation, security and improvement of the shop
  • Compliance with legal obligations (e.g., retention)

Service providers & recipients

  • Shop platform: Shopify
  • Payment providers: e.g., Pend (as well as TWINT, card and wallet providers via the respective payment provider)
  • Shipping: Swiss Post (Schweizerische Post)

These service providers process data partly under their own responsibility (e.g., payment processing) or as processors. Data may – where necessary – be transferred to countries outside Switzerland/EU; in such cases we ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses), where required.

Cookies & tracking

  • We currently do not use marketing or analytics cookies.
  • Technically necessary cookies (e.g., for cart/checkout, security features) may be set by the shop platform.
  • Should this change, we will inform you transparently here and obtain your consent where necessary.

Retention

We store personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes named or as we are legally required to do so. Afterwards, it is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction/objection, and to receive certain data in a commonly used format. Please contact support@byten.ch.
